Gardens of the Brandywine Valley
May 13-14, 2026
This spring, come along as we explore the gardening Capital of America, visiting three of the most renowned gardens in the Brandywine Valley.
Our first destination is Longwood Gardens, boasting 1.6 acres of Conservatory gardens, breathtaking fountain displays, and a mix of formal and naturalistic gardens. The Idea Garden features an ornamental kitchen garden, perennial borders, cut flower gardens, and a combination garden where you'll find creatively designed displays that highlight unique and reliable plant varieties.
On day two, we'll explore Chanticleer and Mt. Cuba Center. Chanticleer is celebrated as the most romantic and imaginative public garden in the U.S., where textures and forms take center stage, with foliage often surpassing flowers in beauty. This garden offers a delightful blend of pleasure and learning, providing inspiring ideas to take home.
The gardens at Mt. Cuba Center showcase stunning wildflower displays unique to the mid-Atlantic region. Its breathtaking landscapes illustrate how native plants can enhance our environment. Mt. Cuba is a recognized leader in native plant education and open space preservation, having protected 15,000 acres in the mid-Atlantic area.
