A recent visit to Ireland, created by Xylem Excursions, became a trip of a lifetime. With the limited number of participants, it was truly an intimate adventure.
Nancy and Karel’s creative planning allowed us to experience opportunities not available to the average traveler…all 5-star accommodations, deluxe transportation, guided tours of national favorites, as well as seldom-experienced treasures of the land. Almost daily, we were immersed in intimate gatherings with local folks, and we also enjoyed an evening of traditional Irish music and dance at a local pub. The only disappointment was leaving this enchanted isle behind.
I highly recommend experiencing the world with Xylem Excursions.

I recently perused my photos from the Xylem Excursions tour of Gardens and Lakes of England and Scotland. I felt totally at ease throughout the whole experience, from the flight there to the return trip home. Nancy and Karel met my expectations plus.
My absolute favorite area on the tour was the Lake District. From the beautiful hotel at Windermere, a cruise on the lake, to the tour and presentation at Wordsworth’s home and garden, to the walk through Grasmere to see the church and Wordsworth’s grave, oh, and the Sarah Nelson gingerbread was well worth the wait. Then on to Beatrix Potter’s Lake District retreat. While there were sheep everywhere, my favorite spot was Holehird Garden, a volunteer-run garden. And so many distinct areas to explore while listening to the bleating sheep in the pasture next door. B.K.
